The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) developed a conceptual framework for worker well-being that includes five domains and 20 subdomains that have been incorporated in a survey instrument called the NIOSH WellBQ.[13] [14] The instrument may be useful as a tool for research, practice and policy development.

These 14 elements represent a consensus of opinions of health and safety professionals from research conducted by the National Safety Council (NSC).1This compilation represents a framework for modeling an effective health and safety program or a basis for performing gap analysis on your existing approach.
