Their bot DuckDuckBot is documented at https://duckduckgo.com/duckduckbot. But note: the DuckDuckGo bot isn't crawling everything itself (as DuckDuckGo gets results from other sources), so your pages might still show up if you don't block the bots of these other sources (like Bing). Refer to mlissner's answer for more details.

We would like to show you a description here but the site won't allow us. Learn more I have been backwards and forwards with Bing support, but they just keep saying everything is ok (and to have a good day), and seem unable to grasp the fact that the problem lies at their end. Anybody got any ideas how to get this sorted please? Jason
Put <meta name="robots" content="noindex"> in the header of your HTML of all pages (preferable) or at least the home page and search engines should remove your site from the index in time. It can take 30-60 normally (for Google) but may take longer.

hallluke · Member Jul 16, 2016 1:55 pm If you've just switched your site from private to public then it will take a little while for the description to show up. Keep checking and eventually the pages will be re-indexed by the search engines and the appropriate text will re-appear.

Microsoft's Bing search engine shows "We would like to show you a description here but the site won't allow us." under your site's URL if your site visibility changed to Public from Private recently. How do I edit my robots.txt file? By default, every website hosted on WordPress.com has its own robots.txt file that search engines will pick up.
In bing, yahoo and duckduckgo it's #1 with the "we can't show" box; in google and yandex it's nowhere, though for different reasons. yandex apparently doesn't index roboted-out pages. google does-- but in this case it only turns up if you do a site: search. So bing gives more weight to domain name alone.
